Public art has the power to energize our public spaces, arouse our thinking and transform places where our community members live, work and play into more welcoming and beautiful environments.
In observance of the Independence Day holiday, all City of Virginia Beach administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, including all Virginia Beach History Museums. The Francis Land House will be open from 10 a.m-2p.m. on Saturday, July 4. The Thoroughgood House and Princess Anne County Training School/Union Kempsville High School Museum will be closed on July 4. The Virginia Beach Public Art Committee (PAC), whose members are appointed by the Virginia Beach Arts & Humanities Commission, reviews Virginia Beach public art project submissions and makes recommendations on which projects to implement.
